Focus

Harold Tackie

"I love the challenge of it, life is all about facing challenges isn't it?
I've only been snatching a few years now, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've missed, I've missed, I've missed, I've missed...You have to be quite precise in how you move and the way in which you move, so there's very little room for error because you'll miss it and it'll come crashing down on top of you, so you can see how that can kind of translate in life, the difference between missing a snatch and making a snatch."

Discipline

OLIVIA MOULDER

"Discipline is a bridge between goals and accomplishments. Discipline is doing what needs to be done even though you don't want to do it.

It's one of the most important personality traits in everyones life, the hardest part is showing up, nobody can do that for me, it is my strongest form of self-love, it allows me to feel empowered, strong, successful & proud."

Courage

DEION JUMAH

"I think there are many courageous things we might do on a day to day basis that might not get the recognition they might deserve, but I feel like a good training session is really pushing yourself to those uncomfortable places in the purest form, it's like undoubtable, you might have been trying to hit a time you never hit before or lift a weight that a few months ago was beyond you, so you're constantly forced to believe, and I think having self-belief is very courageous."

Peace

CELESTE ZOLLINO

"Often enough it’s so easy to lean into comfort when things get hard. So easy to step back when the path looks narrow.
So my kind of training teaches me to persevere, to push through, especially when my mind gives in before my body and it tells me to quit and that its hard, I get this beam of light saying “what happens if I take it further, what happens if I hold this for one second longer than I expected.

And in a sense, it’s comforting to know that if I can persevere challenges on the mat, I can do the same on the outside."
